Personal Needs Closet

Our Personal Needs Closet provides items such as shampoo, toothpaste, soap, adult and infant diapers, toilet tissue, dental needs, laundry soap, feminine hygiene products, and more.  These personal needs items are available to our clients when they pick up their food from the food bank on Mondays and Thursdays. All items are on a first come, first served basis and are dependent on our having items available.

A lack of these basic necessities is another way poverty threatens the dignity of the family and the individual.  It is very difficult to focus on finding a job when your child doesn't have diapers or when you don't have the soap, toothpaste, or deodorant  necessary to keep your family healthy. Children and adults alike require and deserve these basic hygiene items so that they can fully participate in our community.  

We are always looking for donations to keep our closet stocked.  Although we receive donated items and a grant that we use to purchase items, we still run out on a regular basis because the need is so high.
