Our New Program Development Director

We are excited to welcome Katie Price as our new Program Development Director. Originally from Mulliken, MI, Katie graduated from Central Michigan with a B.S. in Community Development, obtained her law degree from Seattle University School of Law, and recently returned to the Lansing area. She has volunteered for the ACLU, TeamChild, the Domestic Violence division of the KCBA, and the Puget Creek Restoration Society. After law school, Katie worked as a public defense lawyer in misdemeanor, felony, civil detention, and dependency cases representing adults, youth, and children.

Katie will be responsible for creating, directing and coordinating programs that help fulfill our vision to empower people and end poverty. Very active in making connections within the Lansing community, she has already organized a clothing and school supplies drive for Lansing Dwight Rich School of the Arts. She is currently focused on implementing the Community Builders After School Program which will allow her to work with children and families. Katie has two children, Ayana, 13, and Thayer, 12.
